5:00PM: BottSamelson varieties, subword complexes and brick polytopesLaura EscobarIn this talk we will define three objects: BottSamelson varieties, subword complexes and brick polytopes. More importantly we will discuss how these objects are connected: the moment polytope of a fiber of the BottSamelson map is the Brick polytope. In particular, we give a nice description of the toric variety of the associahedron.
