5:00PM: Equivariant Hilbert schemes as quiver varietiesBen WormleightonA variant of the classical Hilbert scheme is the Gequivariant Hilbert scheme of a scheme M with respect to a group of automorphisms of M. I’ll construct these moduli spaces in general and then focus on the case of finite subgroups of SL(2,C) acting on the affine plane. Such spaces are best grasped by understanding how they relate to the (singular) affine quotient, all of which has a pleasing and useful interpretation on the level of quiver varieties. If there’s time I’ll also discuss the derived categories of these equivariant Hilbert schemes in terms of the associated quivers.
